    What Is High Voltage?

    Within common UK electrical safety definitions, Low Voltage extends up to 1,000 V AC or 1,500 V DC between conductors. Electrical systems above the defined LV range are normally treated as High Voltage.

    HV Training Is Intended for Suitably Experienced Personnel

    High Voltage Authorised Person training is not an entry-level electrical course.

    Delegates being considered for HV responsibilities should normally have an appropriate electrical or engineering background and sufficient knowledge and experience for the duties they may eventually be authorised to undertake.

    Where a delegate does not yet have the required experience, additional electrical training, supervised practical exposure or a staged competence-development programme may be more appropriate.
